About the role:

The role is based out of Roadshow Films, Sydney Office which is in a dedicated space at the Hub  coworking office at Customs House near Circular Quay.

As part of our Roadshow Films Public Performance Licencing team, the Sales Executive will have the opportunity to drive sales in the new to market area of Childcare. This unique 6-month contract will aim to prove the viability of Childcare as a new, complimentary market for blanket licencing which will sit alongside other pillars such as Education, Public Libraries, Churches and Aged Care.

Roadshow Films Public Performance Licencing team represents the majority of the film industry including Disney, Universal, Paramount, Sony, Warner Bros and most local independent distributors in the sector of blanket licencing.

This role will see you:

  • Understand the Copyright compliance requirements for public licensing of Films in Australia and New Zealand and the ability to articulate those requirements to Customers
  • Assist in liaising with the Childcare industry bodies to establish the credibility of the Licensing regime and gain industry support
  • Actively identify leads and develop a pipeline of sales to support the revenue target
  • Drive revenues to achieve budgets whilst maintaining positive customer experiences
  • In contributing to Public Performance Licensing strategy and achieving the targets the aim is for this to lead into a second and third phase of growth beyond the initial 6 months


About you:

This role will suit someone who is interested in contributing to the set up and success of a new pillar of the business. They will have excellent interpersonal skills with a great deal of sales experience.

The successful applicant will have the desire to learn, advocate and sell licencing for copyright compliance.

The key skills and competencies we are seeking in the successful candidate include:

  • Sales experience, From pipeline to sale
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to understand, explain and advocate for copyright compliance for Roadshow films and the greater film industry
  • Prior experience in licencing rights or childcare are desirable but not essential
