As a Business Development Manager within our Collection Services division, you will play a critical role in driving the continued growth and success of Credit Corp's Australian operations. Reporting to the Head of Collection Services, you will identify, develop and secure new business opportunities.
This is a highly visible role that combines strategic relationship management, commercial negotiation, tender management and market development. You will leverage your industry expertise and professional network to position Credit Corp as the partner of choice for collection and debt recovery services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through strategic networking, industry engagement and proactive prospecting
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals and commercial solutions for senior stakeholders
- Lead contract negotiations and manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle
- Drive growth within existing client accounts through upselling, cross-selling and strategic account management
- Oversee tender submissions, developing strong win strategies and ensuring high-quality responses
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and client needs to identify emerging opportunities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop pricing models, proposals and commercial solutions
- Represent Credit Corp at industry events, conferences and client functions
- Provide regular sales reporting, forecasts and performance insights to senior leadership
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in business development, sales or client-facing roles within collections, debt recovery, financial services or a related industry
- Deep understanding of the collections industry, including market dynamics, regulations and operational practices
- Established industry network and strong relationship-building capability
- Demonstrated success in identifying, developing and converting business opportunities
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to articulate value propositions and client ROI
- Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Highly driven, resilient and results-focused with a proactive approach to business development
- Strong analytical, organisational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel to meet clients and prospective clients as required
