About the Role
The Defence School Mentor plays a vital role in supporting the well-being and academic success of students from Defence families. This position focuses on building strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and inclusive school environment. The Defence School Mentor develops and coordinates programs and activities that help students adjust to the challenges of relocation and parental absence due to service commitments. By providing guidance, advocacy, and connections to community resources, the Defence School Mentor ensures that Defence families feel supported and engaged within the school community.
