About the Role 

The Aboriginal Education Officer (AEO) plays a key role in supporting the learning, wellbeing, and cultural identity of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The AEO works closely with students, families, and staff to foster a culturally safe and inclusive school environment. This includes building strong relationships with Aboriginal families and the local community, assisting in the development of culturally appropriate learning experiences, and promoting greater cultural understanding and respect across the school. The role also involves supporting student engagement and achievement, enhancing communication between families and the school, and contributing to the implementation of programs and initiatives that celebrate Aboriginal culture and support reconciliation. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of young people and help strengthen cultural connections throughout our school community.

Qualifications
