About St Thomas Aquinas Primary School
St Thomas Aquinas is a Catholic co-educational Parish School from P-6 that is committed to the development of the individual child academically, socially and spiritually. The school enjoys expansive grounds and recently refurbished ovals for students to play on. Teachers provide opportunities for students to participate in a variety of sports and sporting clinics. Staff utilise teaching and learning pedagogy including their knowledge of Cognitive Load Theory, to inform their planning and selection of educational resources to enable the best outcomes of students under their care.
About the Role
The Classroom Support Assistant plays a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment by working alongside teachers to ensure all students can fully engage in classroom and school life. This role involves providing targeted support to individuals and small groups, adapting learning activities, and encouraging strategies that promote confidence, independence, and social-emotional development. Collaboration is central to this position, working closely with teaching staff to implement personalised adjustments that help students reach their academic potential and actively participate in the school community.

Qualifications
- Completion of Certificate III in School-Based Education Support; or
- Studying an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) qualification and
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
