About the Role
The Compliance Officer is responsible for upholding governance by ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies. This involves monitoring regulatory changes, assisting in the development of compliance frameworks, and engaging in internal audits and investigations. Providing expert advice to staff, reviewing and interpreting legislation, and supporting the implementation of clear, practical compliance practices are all key responsibilities. Through these efforts, the Compliance Officer helps foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across schools, early learning centres, and service areas.
The Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) provides education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to Schools and ELCs across seven Service Areas including: Education and Performance Improvement; Catholic Identity; School and Family Services; Strategy and Special Projects; Finance and Infrastructure; Information and Communication Technology; and People and Culture.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in law, policy management or other relevant areas.
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and NSW Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.
- Driver’s Licence.
