About the Role   

The Teacher Librarian plays a key role in enriching student learning and supporting teaching across the school. They create a welcoming, inclusive library environment that fosters a love of reading, curiosity, and independent learning. Using curriculum-aligned resources and evidence-based practices, the Teacher Librarian collaborates with teachers to design and deliver engaging literacy, research, and digital literacy programs that cater to diverse learning needs. The role includes managing the library collection, supporting students in developing information and critical thinking skills, and integrating digital tools to enhance learning. This role builds strong partnerships with staff, students, and families to ensure the library continues to be an innovative centre for learning. Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
  • NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
