St John Paul II College (JPC) is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra. About the Role

The Careers and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Coordinator plays a key leadership role in shaping and delivering high-quality learning pathways that prepare students for future success. This position is responsible for leading the implementation of VET and careers curriculum, mentoring staff to ensure effective and engaging teaching practices, and creating a supportive environment where students can thrive. The Coordinator will build and maintain strong partnerships with external providers, industry professionals, and training organisations to expand student access to meaningful vocational opportunities, including school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. In addition to overseeing careers and VET programs, this role is also responsible for managing student behaviour and supporting school-wide operational processes. Through strong communication and collaboration with students, families, and the broader community this role ensures students are well-supported in their career development and personal growth.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
