About the Role 

The Sociology and Psychology Teacher engages students in exploring human behaviour, society, and culture through thought-provoking lessons. By combining theory with real-world application, the role helps students critically examine social issues, psychological concepts, and the forces that shape individual and collective identities. The role involves delivering curriculum-aligned programs, using a variety of teaching strategies and resources to inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and support student success. Regular assessment and constructive feedback guide students in their academic growth, while accurate record-keeping ensures progress is effectively monitored. Collaboration is a key part of the role; you will have the chance to work with supportive colleagues, strengthen connections within the school community, and partner with families to ensure every student thrives.

Qualifications  

• Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
• ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
