About Us
Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL) operates in the ACT and NSW, supporting 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs).
The Archdiocesan Schools Office provides a range of services to the system through four directorates including Faith in Learning, School Operations, Corporate Services and Governance and Strategy.
The Risk Advisor plays a critical role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of the enterprise risk management framework for the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL). This role manages operational, strategic, program, and project risks across the organisation, and provides specialist risk advice to schools, Early Learning Centres, and School Aged Care Services for excursions, events, and other activities.
Key Responsibilities

Provide risk management support to programs and projects across CACGEL, including development of risk management plans, risk registers, and risk treatment strategies.

Develop templates, tools, and guidance materials to support schools and services in conducting risk assessments for excursions, events, and activities.
- Prepare risk reports and briefings for the Principal Risk & Assurance Officer, executive leadership, and Board committees on operational, strategic, program, and project risks.

Qualifications and Eligibility
- Tertiary or qualifications in a relevant field
- Ability to obtain and maintain Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC) required to be obtained before commencing
- Current Drivers Licence
