At Anglicare Victoria, we create opportunities to transform futures. Everything we do is to prevent, protect & empower disadvantaged Victorian children, young people and families.
Anglicare Victoria is the state’s largest provider of out-of-home care services for children and young people. We provide many kinds of alternative homes for those unable to live with their families and ensure they are safe and nurtured. We welcome those interested in joining our well-regarded foster care program.
Every family needs help from time to time. Our specialist teams and support groups empower better decision making, whatever families are facing. We aim to offer support that keeps families healthy, independent and in control.
We understand family violence and offer safe and confidential help. We provide a range of programs for adults and adolescents who perpetrate family violence, and survivors of family violence, with a primary focus on keeping families safe.
Our number one focus is the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of children and young people. Working with families, partners, and government, we deliver proven support that makes a real difference. Our diverse services provide homes, education, specialist counselling and expert understanding to empower lasting change.
Staying connected to education is critical for young people’s long-term independence. We create and deliver innovative and specialised programs in and outside of the classroom, ensuring children living in our care and in the broader community reach their highest potential.
Our financial counselling services are available to anyone having a hard time with money — be that debt, job loss, insurance claims, fines, or just feeling out of control. We offer free and confidential financial information, advice and advocacy.
When things go bad in life, we are here to help. We welcome families and young people seeking refuge, emergency relief or emotional support in times of hardship—no matter what they’re going through.
We know the impact that alcohol and drugs can have on families. Our dedicated staff and effective programs empower many families to overcome their challenges.
With deep connections into local communities, we provide a diverse range of programs, places and partnerships to meet and support local needs.
Anglicare Victoria was formed in 1997 following the amalgamation of three founding agencies: the Mission of St James and St John; St John’s Home for Boys and Girls; and the Mission to the Streets and Lanes. Contact us for more information about our Heritage and Redress Services.
