What is ParentZone?

Anglicare Victoria’s ParentZone program has a long history of supporting parents, carers, children, families and the professionals who work with them, providing a range of evidence-informed programs, as well as broad sector resourcing and training. ParentZone seeks to maximise early engagement to build capacity and resilience through co-designed group programs focussed on child development, wellbeing and strengthening family relationships. Closely aligned is the training provided to professionals building on service capacity to respond to issues around family violence and early intervention. ParentZone seeks to effect outcomes for those most vulnerable, with service provision predominately occurring from universal platforms, including both face to face and online.

 

Your role:

As a senior practitioner with significant experience working with children, parents and families from a diverse range of backgrounds including those impacted by family violence, you’ll be coordinating and facilitating groups, workshops and facilitator training, utilising trauma informed and strengths-based approaches to engage with a diverse range of families, communities and sector professionals. Program development, evaluation and quality review are also key aspects of this role.

 

The skills you will need day to day:

  • Collaborative engagement with children, young people, parents, families and professionals from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, to deliver evidence-informed group programs, workshops and training.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the statutory service system and a diverse range of community connections across Southern Melbourne, enabling an ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma informed, evidence-based and outcome focused approaches, as well as community development principles and practices.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of families impacted by family violence and group facilitation, particularly within the Beyond the Violence program.
  • Experience in program development, program review, data systems and reporting.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, as well as capacity to be self-directed and lead teams of volunteer program trainees.

 

What you need to know:

  • A salary at SCHCADS level 6 which equates to around $110,107 plus super
  • Full time, fixed term to 30 June 2026
  • Based at our Frankston and Pakenham offices, with service delivery predominantly across City of Greater Dandenong and the wider Southern Melbourne area.
