This is primarily a phone-based role, where your practice skills are applied through conversation, risk assessment and planning.

The work is diverse, complex and often time critical. It requires emotional agility, sound judgement and the ability to assess risk while remaining calm and compassionate.

You will work collaboratively within the integrated model, contributing to shared risk assessment, case planning and coordinated responses across child wellbeing and family violence streams.

  • Experience working with victim survivors of domestic violence.
  • Use of MARAM. MARAM is a comprehensive framework designed to assist professionals assessing and managing family violence risks.
  • Have confidence navigating legislative and policy frameworks to inform risk assessment and planning.
  • You will be conducting risk and needs assessments and developing safety plans.
  • Ability to actively engage vulnerable children, young people and families.
  • Your commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
  • With collaborative practice skills within multidisciplinary environments.
  • Identify risks and concerns, strengths and protective factors, intersectionality and vulnerability factors.
  • Resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma.
  • The ability to recognise and identify limits of own expertise and to seek advice or refer clients to other specialists.
