Your new role
As the Complex Case Manager, Kinship Care you will provide case management and case work services to children/young people residing within Kinship placements and their carers. This will include undertaking carer assessments and the provision of support to children/young people, their families and carers. There will also be an emphasis on ensuring that children/young people and their carers are linked into community-based support services.
You will support the team leader in the ongoing development of case practice, engage and work with families, including those with complex needs and entrenched family patterns, develop innovative approaches and where appropriate, mentor the team implementing these approaches in working with families, children and young people.

Your skills and experience
You will have Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Science, or related discipline
You will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in the community services sector in a case management role
- Demonstrated experience in the child and family welfare field, this experience will be in Child Protection, Out of Home Care, Family Services and/or other services working with vulnerable families and children.
- Experience working with young people who have experienced abuse and trauma.
- Understanding of the implications of abuse and trauma
