Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting consumers to build long-term financial capability by helping them budget effectively, manage their money, and make informed financial decisions. You will provide financial literacy education, one-on-one support, and coaching to individuals experiencing financial hardship.

The role requires confidence in working autonomously, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the NEFCP team and the Team Leader – Tenancy & Financial Support.

Your skills and experience
  • Minimum of a Certificate IV in Community Service Work, or equivalent (desirable)
  • Financial Literacy Education skillset (desirable)
  • Currently studying Diploma of Financial Counselling (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative and or intake roles (desirable)
  • Experience in working with Financial Counselling team/organisation and/or clients (desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision
