Your new role

Play an active role in achieving Uniting’s Strategic Objectives and lead the delivery and development of high-quality Residential Services in the Wimmera. 

Provide care and support to children and young people who present with complex needs and challenging behaviours and leadership to team leaders and support workers. You will develop strategies to ensure children and young people are successfully transitioned and integrated into the home.

Your expertise in providing hands on support, guidance, coaching, leadership, and empowerment to the staff in the homes will enable you to promote and maintain a positive, respectful and enthusiastic work environment.

Your skills and experience

You will bring with you: 

  • Bachelor level in relevant professional discipline such as social work, psychology or social science (required)
  • Master’s level in Psychology and Social Work or equivalent (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in a management or leadership position in a health service setting or mental health sector, with a strong preference for residential services
  • Experience in developing evidence-based client programs
  • Significant experience in providing advice and support on complex issues.
  • Significant experience in managing organisational change and a willingness to remain adaptive and drive program/team change.
