Your New Role

Uniting is seeking a dynamic Program Lead to oversee the delivery and development of the CHOICES Program across Victoria. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality training, program governance, and the implementation of new initiatives for both consumer participants and trainers.

CHOICES is a mandatory, evidence-based AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) program for low-risk offenders, aiming to reduce reoffending by increasing awareness of the impacts of substance use and supporting behavioral change.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading program delivery and continuous improvement in collaboration with partner agencies.
  • Providing specialist training and support to external organisations.
  • Updating program content to maintain relevance and effectiveness.

Your skills and experience

You’ll bring a combination of relevant qualifications and hands-on experience to the role, including:

  • A Certificate IV in AOD, Mental Health, Peer Work, Training & Assessment, or a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Youth Work, Nursing, or other Allied Health fields.
  • Experience in group facilitation, training delivery, and program coordination is essential.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and working across the AOD, mental health, or social services sectors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client database systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within metropolitan Melbourne as needed.

Qualifications or experience in program management, healthcare leadership, and knowledge of the Choices program are highly regarded.
