Details of the role
A Project Manager plays a lead role within the Implementation to Impact (i2i) team (School of Population Health within the Faculty of Medicine and Health) in the planning, development, and implementation of projects across the team. The role entails developing research project planning documentation, identifying and building appropriate project teams, and initiating and overseeing projects, including managing all stakeholder engagement and quality assurance. The role will support predominantly, but not exclusively, two genomic newborn bloodspot screening projects.
The role reports to the Associate Professor and has two direct reports.
Some key skills required:
- Lead the delivery of two genomic newborn bloodspot screening projects and initiatives to achieve operational and strategic goals.
- Undertake day-to-day project management, including the development, the delivery and the evaluation including input into project planning and documentation.
- Contribute to the Senior Leadership Team, including providing strategic operational advice as required.
- Manage project dependencies, risks, issues, change requests and financials and work with the project team to ensure appropriate arrangements are in place.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification with subsequent relevant healthcare research and evaluation experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Partner with the Project Team and key stakeholders to monitor and report on progress of projects; and identify problems and propose possible solutions.
- Proven project management experience, with an in-depth understanding of the project life cycle and strategic development of project plans, objectives and documentation.
