Reporting to Dr. Aditya Joshi, School of Computer Science and Engineering, you will be responsible for developing functional prototypes, showcasing and articulating practical results, providing analytical and reporting support, and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external partners. Additionally, the role contributes administrative support to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
Who You Are:
You have a solid foundation in computing, supported by an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of software development experience. You have good fundamentals in Transformer-based natural language processing, demonstrated through academic work or projects, and practical experience with large language model integration frameworks like LlamaIndex and LangChain. You’re proficient in deploying software via AWS and managing version control using GitHub or GitLab. You also have experience building and deploying web applications using libraries such as Streamlit.
Your programming skills are centered around Python, with familiarity in deep learning libraries like Transformers and PyTorch, as well as statistical analysis tools. You’re confident working with diverse stakeholders and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail. Your strong time management and organisational abilities allow you to juggle multiple priorities and adapt to shifting demands effectively.
You work well both independently and collaboratively, taking initiative while remaining a dependable team player. You also demonstrate a clear understanding of, and commitment to, UNSW’s values, policies, and objectives, along with a proactive approach to health and safety, including attending relevant training.
