At UNSW, we are committed to creating meaningful social impact through education, equity and community engagement. As the Students as Partners Program Lead, you will play a key role in advancing this mission by designing and delivering a dynamic program that empowers university students to inspire and support high school students—particularly those underrepresented in higher education.
You will lead the end-to-end delivery of the Students as Partners Program, shaping how student ambassadors are recruited, trained and supported to deliver engaging, high-quality student outreach experiences. As relatable role models, these ambassadors share their stories and help high school students build confidence and better understand their pathways to university.
Reporting to the Head of Educational Outreach and Pathways, you will manage one direct report and play a central role in strengthening UNSW’s outreach and engagement through a high-impact, student-led program.
You are student-centred and could bring experience from a range of backgrounds—including education, workforce development, community engagement or program delivery in not-for-profit sector. We welcome diverse career pathways and value the different perspectives they bring to this role.
You have a solid foundation in facilitation, peer learning and training design, and are confident building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. We would also like you to bring:
-
Strong program facilitation skills, with an understanding of peer-to-peer learning, student mentoring, and co-delivery approaches that centre lived experience
You are adaptable, collaborative and motivated by making a difference. You will occasionally be travelling across Sydney and NSW (a driver’s licence is desirable but not essential). The team generally works from home 2 days a week.
This role is a parental leave cover until July 2027. Candidates will need to have valid working right, a valid WWCC and Police Check.
