- Level 6 salary from $103,866 + 17% super | Level 7 salary from $113,926 + 17% super

Research Grants and Contracts (RGC), within the Division of Research & Enterprise, provides expert research management services that enable impactful research across UNSW. The RGC Post Award team manages more than $450 million in research income annually across approximately 6,000 active research projects, supporting academics and researchers from agreement execution through to project completion.
About the Roles
As a Grants Officer – Post Award, you will deliver high-quality research funding management services across all post-award functions. You’ll work closely with academics, research support staff and finance teams to ensure research grants and contract research projects are managed effectively, compliantly, and in line with sponsor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage post-award research activities
- Provide advice on funding rules, policies and procedures
- Monitor sponsor reporting and compliance obligations
- Identify and resolve grant management issues and risks proactively
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives

About You
Level 6
You will bring
- Experience in administration, grants management or project support
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to interpret policies and procedures
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Level 7
In addition to the above, you can demonstrate:
- Significant experience in research funding or complex grants management
- The ability to manage complex grant matters independently
- Experience providing specialist advice on funding compliance and policy interpretation
- The capability to mentor and support colleagues
Appointments may be made at either Level 6 or Level 7 depending on skills and experience.
