Your opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk & Security Supervisor (RSS) to join our team supporting our ACT region, with Westfield Belconnen as your home centre. Reporting to the Risk and Security Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the risk and security management function to ensure the highest standards of safety and security for our employees, contractors, retailers, and customers. This regional position offers variety and exposure across multiple Westfield destinations, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment that enhances the customer experience.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting proactive management, reporting and response to hazards, incidents, emergencies, near misses and claims across the Centre and region
  • Monitoring service delivery agreements and providing performance feedback to contract managers, including remedial actions where required
  • Providing day-to-day coaching and guidance to contracted staff in line with WHS legislation and obligations
  • Ensuring compliance with safety audit and inspection program requirements within the Centre and across the region
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, retailers, contractors, Police, Regulators, and Emergency Services
  • Acting as Duty Manager on a rostered basis, which includes weekend shifts balanced with days off in lieu

About the role structure:
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Westfield Belconnen and Westfield Woden.
A roster will be published at least one month in advance to confirm your centre location for each rotation based on the needs of the two  Centres.
Typically, you’ll work on one- to two-week rotations between centres; however, if a Risk & Security Manager is on annual leave, you’ll remain at that centre for the duration of their leave.

What sets you apart
You’ll bring a strong background in security operations with exposure to risk management strategies, ideally in a retail property, hospitality, entertainment, or services environment. You are confident, proactive, and have the ability to lead, coach and influence teams to deliver excellence.

  • Qualification or demonstrated experience in Work Health and Safety
  • Proven experience in risk and/or security management
  •  Experience in delivering training programs
  • Working knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
