Security team members are essential to our frontline Customer Experience team, serving as vital touchpoints for customers while maintaining a safe and secure environment across our operational Westfield Living destinations.
The Security Training Manager role is responsible for developing, implementing, overseeing, and delivering security training programs to build team capabilities in providing secure and safe environments for our customers, communities, and staff.
About the Role:
The role assists our risk and security managers across Westfield centres by organising workshops, creating tailored content to address capability gaps, and working with external training providers. They also manage the transition of training materials into an LMS for structured governance and lead sessions that engage teams while guiding them through essential learning content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Create, coordinate, and facilitate engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtual, for a diverse audience.
- Enhance Security Capabilities: Design training programs focused on critical incident response and other essential security skills to strengthen centre teams.
- Provide Coaching and Support: Support center teams with ongoing coaching, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Partner with Security Experts: Collaborate with specialised security training providers to implement tailored programs across the portfolio.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Track and assess the effectiveness of training programs, ensuring there fit for purpose and improve security capabilities.

- Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs related to security protocols and best practices.
- A strong track record of delivering results in fast-paced, ever-changing environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong planning, presentation, and delivery capabilities, ensuring effective training sessions and presentations.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Skilful in understanding and responding to the needs of different audiences to enhance training effectiveness.
