We have an exciting opportunity for an Intelligence Manager to join our Corporate Security team. This is a critical strategic role responsible for managing real time intelligence monitoring, analysing the security environment and delivering intelligence products related to emerging security issues and opportunities.
You will identify and synthesise key information drawn from intelligence monitoring, security data and open-source research, to inform decision-making and help maintain the safety and security of our people, customers, assets, and interests. You will be across the external local and global developments that may impact Scentre Group’s security, to factor into security planning and operations.
- Manage security intelligence analyst(s).
- Build and sustain a working knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand security environments, particularly those relevant to maintaining the security of Crowded Places, and how these manifest at a local and national level.
- Research, critically analyse and summarise open-source information related to security issues for team consumption and dissemination to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Support Scentre Group’s Intelligence function in monitoring and responding to intelligence alerts.
- Extract, compile and interpret data from Scentre Group’s security incident report management tools.
- Contribute to drafting security advisories, particularly on security issues facing Westfield destination teams.
- Build relationships with and support Risk and Security Managers at Westfield destinations in relation to the Intelligence Team function.
- Deliver due diligence investigative support.
What sets you apart from the rest?
- Professional experience in security, policing or intelligence.
- Extensive knowledge of Australia and New Zealand’s security environment.
- Proven research experience locating, critically analysing and summarising information for diverse audiences.
- Strong interest in or experience researching crime, counterterrorism, protest and social movements, cyber security, and/or fraud.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented with high level of accuracy.
- Familiarisation with online intelligence monitoring including across social media.
- Experience in implementation of security technology capabilities highly desirable.
