Your opportunity

As the Assistant Facilities Manager at Westfield Warringah Mall, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the connection between our contract partners and in-centre teams. Your focus will be on ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, helping to deliver extraordinary in-centre experiences as we work to become essential to our customers, retailers, and partners.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering best-in-class day-to-day facilities services that support the Centre team and enhance the customer experience.
  • Coordinating tenancies by working closely with contract partners and shopfitters to ensure compliance and timely delivery of works.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing our Facilities Coordinators to foster a high-performing team.
  • Overseeing asset maintenance, repairs, and capital works, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards through effective contract partner management.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of asset lifecycle plans for the centre.
  • Providing immediate, hands-on support during emergencies, evacuations, or other critical incidents within the centre.

This full-time role includes Duty Management responsibilities, requiring occasional weekend shifts on a roster basis, balanced with a day off in lieu.

  • Industry Knowledge: Relevant experience in retail, hospitality, property, facilities, building management, or other customer-focused environments where operational excellence is key.
  • Project & Maintenance Delivery: A proven track record of managing maintenance activities or projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standard, on time, and within budget.
  • Compliance & Safety Leadership: Strong experience in leading compliance initiatives, driving safety outcomes, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Confidence in engaging with contractors, service providers, and internal teams to achieve shared goals and maintain high service standards.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think on your feet, respond to unexpected issues, and make informed decisions to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
