Your opportunity
Join our Data & Insights team where curiosity meets impact. As a Data Scientist, you'll help translate big questions into actionable insights, turning complex data into models and stories that guide smarter decisions across the business. Whether it’s forecasting customer behaviour, uncovering growth opportunities or driving operational improvements, your work will directly contribute to shaping better outcomes for our customers and community. If you're passionate about data and want to see the real-world effect of your models, this is your opportunity.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Exploring large, curated datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Designing and building models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Hypo-thesis, optimisations and deep dives to support decision-making across teams.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, and Operations.
- Communicating insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Working within cloud environments (e.g. AWS or GCP) using Python and/or R, SQL, and industry-standard libraries and visualisation tools (e.g tableau, powerbi etc).
This role is permanent, full-time based in the Sydney support office.
What sets you apart
We are seeking a curious, hands-on Data Scientist who enjoys solving complex problems and working closely with diverse teams. You bring a strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and coding, and you're not afraid to get stuck into messy, real-world data. You thrive in collaborative, social environments and know how to bridge the gap between data and business decisions.
You will be:
- Strategic: Able to translate business problems into analytical frameworks with measurable outcomes.
- Commercial: Understand the value of data in driving business performance and customer outcomes.
- Collaborative: Work effectively across disciplines, aligning data solutions with broader team goals.
- Innovative: Comfortable experimenting with new tools, methods, and ways of thinking to solve problems.
