We are looking for a detail-oriented Technology Contracts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with technology stakeholders and business owners to create and implement portfolio-wide contract and supplier management strategies.
About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with Technology stakeholders and business owners to develop and implement portfolio contract and supplier management frameworks, covering everything from forecast planning to contract negotiations and reviews. You'll drive vendor engagement and contracting processes to meet key business objectives, while working closely with teams across Finance, Legal, Privacy, Risk, and Cyber to ensure comprehensive alignment. This is your chance to provide expert guidance on market trends, strategic sourcing best practices, and long-term enterprise goals, making a tangible impact across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead contracting negotiations for new vendor engagements and across a portfolio of existing vendor renewals
- Influence business owners to ensure the necessary commercial practices are agreed before progressing to sourcing.
- Work with business owners to understand their ongoing requirements, future demand and planned long-term strategy.
- Supporting new initiatives and business cases by performing upfront market research and due diligence on new vendors.
- Maintaining ongoing governance of existing vendors and strategically planning renewals.
- Act as the commercial contracting SME for projects and tenders.
- Maintain industry monitoring of vendors, pricing fluctuation and trends
What sets you apart
- Experience in contact management / commercial role with engagement with legal, privacy and cyber stakeholders
- Detailed understanding of contracts, contract management and legal terminology
- Ability to navigate complex legal documents and ensure compliance with privacy and cybersecurity requirements.
- Proven track record in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contract terms for technology services.
