As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on a pilot study in collaboration with National Cancer Centre Singapore where you will be part of the research team to: 1) pilot incorporating cancer malnutrition screening tools into routine clinical care in newly diagnosed lung cancer patients, 2) establish use of CT scans for measurement of body composition to diagnose sarcopenia, 3) identify a metabolic signature for cancer malnutrition. This exciting opportunity addresses a current clinical gap in cancer malnutrition. The results of this study may improve quality of care in cancer patients.
