As a member of the SIT Community Engagement team, you will develop and execute strategies to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) among Punggol's youth. You will manage SIT’s youth Makerspace and Gallery to inspire interest in STEM education. Your role includes collaborating with schools, educators, community organizations, and industry partners to create engaging STEM outreach programs. Additionally, you will lead community initiatives aimed at fostering positive social change and environmental sustainability in Punggol.

This role will provide functional support for SuccessFactors modules.

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop/produce/investigate extraction and fractionation of mung bean/rice/spent barley for improved functionality, generate process data for future life-cycle assessment and techno-economic analyses to understand the extraction processes’ impact on sustainability.

The Research Engineer will play a critical role in the development, validation, and optimization of 3D-printed modular floating structures. This includes conducting hydrodynamic analysis, finite element modeling, and stability assessments, as well as overseeing site-based test bedding, data collection, and reporting. The role also involves designing and validating connectors for the modular system to ensure mechanical integrity and adaptability.
