The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on a pilot study in collaboration with National Cancer Centre Singapore where you will be part of the research team to: 1) pilot incorporating cancer malnutrition screening tools into routine clinical care in newly diagnosed lung cancer patients, 2) establish use of CT scans for measurement of body composition to diagnose sarcopenia, 3) identify a metabolic signature for cancer malnutrition. This exciting opportunity addresses a current clinical gap in cancer malnutrition. The results of this study may improve quality of care in cancer patients.

Synthesis of light conversion solution involving photocatalyst to absorb Infra-red light for up conversion to visible spectrum. This can involve the use of rare earth oxide nanocrystal, plasmonic multifunctional platform with the use of microbeads and metal nanocrystals for enhanced up conversion luminescence. 2. Synthesis of light conversion solution for down conversion with the above technique 3. Knowledge in the process such as film coating using roll to roll process and doctor blade techniques, electrospinning, ultrasonsic spray 4. Able to carry out material characterisation using Scanning electron microscope, UV-VIS-IR spectrophometer, fluorescence measurement as well as other techniques.
