Manager, Cost Control Event Sales (Temporary Position)

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for developing paid event P&L reporting to provide timely (per event) profit margin visibility to the Event Sales Team. Identify event business trends to ensure optimal retail event pricing recommendations. Support the Event Sales team in the development of accurate and profitable event pricing models based on P&L data. Partner with Finance and Operational teams to ensure appropriate labor charges are being assigned to events.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage pre-event P&L cost agreements for all events over $50k
  • Review P&Ls for positive and negative anomalies, trends, and other data that can help maximize event margins
  • Assists sales team with development of event pricing models
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of cost accounting, financial analysis or business experience required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Knowledge in accounting software (SAP & Snap)
  • Knowledge in budgeting software (BPC)
  • Knowledge in labor system (Kronos)
  • Knowledge of Sales Management and Booking system CRM (Salesforce Delphi)
  • Preferred experience in data mining and querying in relational databases. Ability to write code is a plus. (SQL)
