JOB SUMMARY:

Maintenance of all fiberglass products and mold work. Maintenance of all sculpted rockwork including any shaping or carving. This individual will also help to act as a specialist in aspects to all other cementitious work.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs netting and rigging to include rope braiding, lashing, and repairing in Queue lines and ride perimeters in the scope of Facilities.
  • Responsible for the fabrication including steel frame of cementitious rock work and performs maintenance and artwork on cementitious rock material, including Carving, Forming, Shaping and Stamps.
  • FRP and Prop repair and fabrication to include but not limited to: Carpentry, Sculpture, and Fiberglass/Gel coating (structural and cosmetic) to repair and replicate existing, and as needed, props in adherence within the area development creative intent which may include direction of Management, Creative and/or Engineering. Routinely inspects props for any wear/damage, makes appropriate repairs and document findings.
  • Performs inspections, repairs, and installs to poured-in-place rubberized safety surfaces.
  • Fabricates tooling (Molds) when multiple parts are needed and/or tooling is no longer available.
  • Gathers and prepares necessary information, tools and items needed to complete assigned tasks.
  • Cleans up work area: Consists of picking up used tarps, tools, and materials and then stores equipment/tools in designated storage area.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Technical school or Associate degree with emphasis in Art and Fabrication is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years general carpentry, construction, fiberglass and mold fabrication required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
