JOB SUMMARY:
Independently works on store merchandising plans to ensure proper assortments are added to locations; merchandise is placed in accordance to the merchandiser developed sku to fixture; determines allocation amounts; allocates adequate floor space for programs; and determines proper adjacencies. Works directly with the UO buying team, field managers, merchandise warehouse, and visual team in managing store layouts and product placement. Directly responsible for managing the proper flow of inventory, tracks out of stocks, coordinates and directs floor sets and refreshes. Trains managers and store teams on presentation guidelines and inventory systems. Provides financial analysis.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently develops multi-unit floor plans & multi-unit sku to fixture plans. Manages merchandising & planning procedures in accordance with visual & merchandising standards for each location. Works to supply and maintain minor store signage.
- Provides analysis of sales contributions on the sku, program and department level. Responsible for the development of post execution reports. Conducts independent analysis to ensure program is meeting financial expectations & makes decision to re-assort store if necessary. Communicates needs, suggestions, stock level concerns, and provides direction to field team and buyers on assortment issues, merchandise exit strategies, and product replacement.
- Directly responsible for monitoring, tracking, and ensuring the proper flow of goods including new product, re-orders, and delivery schedules.
- Directs the store operation team in implementation of floor plans and sku to fixture plans.
- Independently controls updates to the auto replenishment schedules, parameter display minimums, replenishment adjustments, manual inventory orders, and supports the store teams on inventory control.
- Makes determinations and decisions regarding the overall Special Event product placement, stock balancing, flow of goods from warehouse stores, event reporting and operational support.
- Provides training for field management and hourly team members on inventory and auto replenishment systems. Participates in the physical inventory process.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years in Retail Management and Merchandising required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
