JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the daily Park Services operation for assigned area. Uses analytical skills to ensure that the assigned area is meeting departmental standards for Guest satisfaction, Team Member satisfaction, safety compliance, and financial goals. Leads team and partners with other departments to ensure cleanliness standards are upheld.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs Park Services Duty Supervisor shifts for assigned area. Conducts multiple daily inspections focusing on cleanliness, show quality, safety, sustainability, and procedure compliance. Actively monitors staffing to ensure there is proper coverage throughout the area to achieve operational goals while respecting budget. Responsible for maintaining the quality, cleanliness, and facility maintenance standards to ensure physical locations and equipment are “show ready” for our guests at all times. Responds to Guest and operational issues in a prompt and professional manner. Performs the duties of frontline Team Members to include, but not limited to, assisting with cleaning tasks.
- Coaches, motivates, and provides timely feedback to Team Members to promote a safe and respectful work environment for other Team Members and guests. Develops and implements action plans to support Team Member satisfaction, guest satisfaction, and financial impact. Ensures the safety of guests and Team Members by ensuring Team Members receive proper training, reviewing/revising policies/procedures, and ensuring corrective actions are taken to potentially unsafe conditions. Uses progressive discipline to document performance concerns and unsafe Team Member actions in accordance with department and UO policy.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with business partners to provide operational support. Collaborates within and outside of department to maintain the upkeep of all restaurants, attractions, and merchandise locations as well as back of house buildings. Works with Talent Development team to ensure training documents are current and that all employees have completed required training.
- Completes administrative tasks that support the Park Services business; respond to emails and requests for information, attend department and shared accountability meetings, monitor labor standards/budgets, adjust Team Member schedules, complete Team Member performance appraisals, rectify payroll issues, complete daily operation log. Analyzes and responds to various reports including but not limited to guest comments, incidents reports, labor reports, etc.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years supervisory experience and cleaning experience required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical mobility and stamina required. Must be able to walk long distances at a moderate pace to inspect each assigned work area grounds and buildings.
- Ability to stoop, squat, and kneel.
- Ability to lift trash bags weighing up to 50 pounds and loading into compactor.
- Ability to push equipment up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to include latex/non-latex gloves and goggles as required for certain tasks.
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals.
- Comfortability working in all weather conditions to include rain, cold and heat.
- Strong customer / team interaction skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to solve practical problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to identify and anticipate both opportunities and problems and drive them to resolution.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule with nights and weekends required.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
