JOB SUMMARY: Oversees the daily operation and is the first point of contact for Team Members, and interdepartmental partners in collaboration with or in the absence of a Supervisor. Supports the management team with assigning tasks, ensuring that work is completed on time and as assigned. Provides guidance to Team Members as needed. Coordinates the completion of daily operating reports, assists with monitoring the Flash report, and trains new Team Members. Executes both routine and non-routine administrative tasks and assists with assignments in support of the Park and Resort Operations division. Responsible for designing, writing, proofreading, and editing various internal and external written pieces of communication for clarity and accuracy in accordance with Universal Orlando standards.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs opening and closing duties in the absence of or, in coordination with the Supervisor. Conducts spot talks, provides assignments, directions, and feedback, and ensures the accuracy of reports and the timely reporting of such information. Provides administrative support to Park & Resort Operations Supervisors. Distributes weekly and monthly reports and compiles data on spreadsheets on a routine basis or as requested by operating partners or other internal client groups.
- Assigns daily tasks and monitors Team Members to ensure that work is completed as assigned. Maintains all facets of the daily operation, daily staffing levels, and daily labor budget. Trains and coaches new Team Members, writes Senior observations and provides feedback to Supervisors or Team Members. Assists with updating training manuals including OJT checklists and SOPs. Maintains organization of Operations Base and Tech Base Inbox, monitors incoming emails and conversations with Leadership across the resort.
- Works in conjunction with the management team in reporting and maintaining daily operational reports to include; attraction hourly attendance, through-put, number of vehicles and dispatches, and wait times. Verifies the accuracy of departmental paperwork through daily attendance reconciliation and participates in variance resolution.
- Assists in ensuring that communication devices are in good working order or sent out for repair. Tracks the inventory of office supplies, making sure the Team has all tools needed to complete daily tasks and supporting our partners.
- Participates in Monthly and Quarterly Team Recognition Programs to ensure Positive TSAT and GSAT Standards within the office. Encourages collaboration within the organization and fosters Open Communication amongst Team Members.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality
or business related field preferred
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years clerical; customer service/call center, computer experience
preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
