JOB SUMMARY:
Produce and direct the creative development and implementation of all assigned projects during all phases through completion. Manages design team efforts and staff on assigned projects. Responsible for maximizing creative intent impact on guest experience through the balancing of project strategy, budget, funding resources, analyzing and identifying talent needs, establishing project schedules and communicating all appropriate information to the various business partners or divisions. Manages the Producing discipline in the development of all assigned projects under the direction of the Sr Director, Creative Operations, globally.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee, support and guide Associate Producers/Producers on assigned projects from ideation, feasibility, concept, schematic, design development and delivery. Develops overall design process and strategy with studio leadership peers.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with all internal and external partners on assigned projects and updating the Universal Creative leadership team. Develop common and consistent tools and processes for show project team to use on assigned projects.
- Represents the Creative Studio in the development and management of assigned projects. Represents Creative Studio in senior management updates.
- Responsible for developing project work plans, strategies, estimates, budgets, schedules, staffing plans and org charts from the development of initial ideation phase through project completion.
- Responsible for the development of scopes of work, RFPs and for negotiating contracts with Show vendors. Monitor outside consultants for compliance with agreements and budgets. Reviews and approves show vendor contracts, commitments, and invoices.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Media, Film/TV Production, or similar Arts Management degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
10+ years’ experience as a senior level producer or creative lead with demonstrated success in theme park, theatrical, media production preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
