JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for planning, scheduling, procuring materials and outside services for the successful operation of the Annual Cycle Program and scheduled work process. Project planning, scheduling, interfacing with customers, writing project scopes, and tracking all aspects for various design, fabrication, and installation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the Central Shops and the Annual Cycle PM Program by ensuring proper frequency and target completion to facilitate attraction availability to include: writing detailed work procedures, reviewing and implementing in accordance to OEM manuals, UO Engineering, QC, ASTM. Plans and organizes team activities and projects to include: generating scopes of work, entering EAR’s, tracking all action items and ensuring all issues are resolved.
  • Maintains proper documentation including, Discretionary Work Orders, Routine Work Orders, QC reports, ECNs, DCNs, temporary deviations, and bulletins for the department. Develops scopes of work which include schedule and budget details. Partners with UO Engineering and manufactures for drawing and procedural updates, creating and maintaining reports as needed.
  • Manages and is responsible for providing detailed scope of work, written procedures, budget, and estimated time, material and resources needed to successfully complete capital projects and Discretionary Work Orders. Tracks all action items and ensures resources are assigned through completion of the projects, planning and scheduling workflow of projects.
  • Manages and tracks all correspondence between customers, vendors and the Central Shop team. Interfaces with Ride and Show, Document Control, Engineering, Legal, Planned Work, Quality Control, Accounts Payable, Capital Finance, Operational Finance, Purchasing, Information Technology, and Vendors.
  • Manages and monitors budget and cost-effective measures. Assist Tech Warehouse with critical spare parts list for setting up parts kit for ride vehicle annuals.
  • Interfaces with Central Shops technicians and leads; assuring proper safety equipment, tools and procedures are available for all work performed. Coordinate’s calibration requirements on all precision equipment.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED is required.
  • Technical school is preferred.
  • Associate’s degree (AA) in General Education or Technology preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in technical coordination and project management required,
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in theme park maintenance preferred;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

To perform this job successfully, this individual should have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical/control systems. This individual must be able to develop a working knowledge and be able to work in and around all the Rides and Shows. Must have knowledge in industrial painting, fiberglass, machining, welding, precision sheet and ride vehicle maintenance and repair.
