JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for driving the interactive process for assigned reasonable accommodation requests for Team Members. Additionally, will serve as a liaison between the Team Members and key partners (including HR Business Partners, Legal, Health Services, Workers Compensation, Park Management, Benefits, and third-party leave administrator) to participate in reasonable accommodation requests. This position also works to ensure compliance with applicable leave and accommodation laws and maintains employee leave and accommodation files and documentation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives the interactive process for assigned reasonable accommodation requests to identify and recommend accommodation solutions in compliance with applicable leave and accommodation laws, including FMLA, FEHA, USERRA, PWFA, and ADA. Implements and documents accommodations made and monitors effectiveness when needed.
  • Responsible for collaborating and communicating on leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations with internal (including Management, Health Services, HR Business Partners, Legal) and external (including Leave Administrator and Workers Compensation) partners, as needed. Helps facilitate content for education on reasonable accommodation processes to necessary audiences.
  • Continuously monitors job descriptions and work environments across the organization to identify and implement innovative reasonable accommodation solutions.
  • Works with HR personnel for processing and tracking leaves of absences, including leaves for Disability, Workers Compensation, Parental, Personal, and Administrative.
  • Assists with inquiries about leaves of absence (non-medical) and reasonable accommodations. Educates Team Members on reasonable accommodation topics and empowers them to become self-sufficient navigating resources with third-party leave administrator.
  • Engages in interactive conversations with Team Members. Drafts and sends communication throughout process via email and regular mail.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Management is required and/or relative work experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience with knowledge of accommodations and disability principles or 2 years accommodations and disability-focused experience required.

  • Ideal candidate demonstrates accountability, thinks critically, and demonstrates courage when presenting ideas.
  • Can easily multi-task and manage multiple priorities in case management.
  • Schedule flexibility with availability to work on weekends, holidays, or evenings, if needed.
