JOB SUMMARY: This intern role will work with the delivery teams to define, develop, test, and analyze guest-facing websites and applications in support of the business requirements and project goals. Intern will interface with front-end developers, service developers, project managers, product owners and business partners to deliver assigned tasks throughout the production life cycle. Intern will also have exposure to the testing and build/deployment processes for releasing products to production.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works as part of a scrum team to create code that directly contributes to project deliverables.
- Collaborates with scrum master, product owner, developers, and architecture team members to understand the scope management and delivery processes.
- Acts as a liaison with technical staff to assist in resolving issues found during testing and validation.
- Actively shares ideas, accomplishments, and blockers to the delivery teams and leadership.
- Attends meetings related to the project deliverables and provide status updates.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
- Preferred majors include: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or similar.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Unit Testing, Linting, Code Coverage.
- Knowledge with Agile Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework.
Please note the following:
- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2025.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
