JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for specific area supervision within the water park operation. Uses lifeguarding and analytical skills to ensure that assigned area is meeting departmental standards for guest satisfaction, Team Member satisfaction, and financial goals while maintaining highest levels of safety standards at all times.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises and oversees the daily operation to ensure proper ride safety, staffing, capacity, crowd control and guest service standards are being met. Performs duty manager coverage, responds to guest and operations issues, communicates with various partners and is the first responder to operational and guest issues.
- Responsible for guest safety by reviewing trends and/or incidents, revising safety practices and procedures, and documents and responds to potentially unsafe conditions. Coaches and uses counseling forms to document and maintain safe team member actions in accordance with policy.
- Responsible for scheduling, developing, coaching and counseling the Lifeguard Leads and Team Members. Manages labor budgets and makes adjustments as needed. Analyzes and responds to various reports including but not limited to guest comments, capacity, downtimes and incident reports.
- Focuses on guest and Team Member satisfaction. Ensures that each Team Member is greeting and interacting with our guests while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.
- Maintains positive relationships and partners with other UO departments to ensure that departmental goals are being met while maintaining standards. Responsible for maintaining quality, cleanliness and facility maintenance standards to ensure the area is “show ready” for our guests at all times.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required.
- Associate’s degree (AA) is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must be able to attain lifeguard certification.
- Valid Florida Driver’s license required.
