JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the supervision of the Security Communications team and the overall management of the on-property Security Command Centers. Ensure implementation, communication, and execution of operational plans and company initiatives. Assist EM Manager and above in maintaining the highest possible EM and Security standards.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the overall operation of the Security Command Centers while overseeing the supervisory staff and hourly team. Coordinate and oversee all company and departmental missions and initiatives.
- Responsible for the development of Security Communication Supervisors and Security Dispatchers, including training, coaching, and mentoring. Ensure Supervisors are driving TSAT & GSAT initiatives to increase internal guest and team member satisfaction.
- Assist in the evaluation and development of department policies and procedures.
- Assist in other Emergency Management functions including, but not limited to, holding informational presentations with departments across UO and hosting educational training classes.
- Actively monitor Command Center staffing levels and labor; making adjustments when needed, including reviewing staffing needs for peak seasons and marquee events.
- Manage and act as the point of contact for all Security Notification Systems (IRIS / MIR3).
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Supports Emergency Management by ensuring Security Communications provides excellent service to internal and external guests while supporting Security Operations in proactively and reactively protecting individuals and company property.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management or Business Administration preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 to 5 years in Emergency Management / Security experience.
- 1 to 3 years of Supervisory experience required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Assists in maintaining strong working relationships with outside governmental emergency response agencies.
