JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating the receiving, stocking and distribution and repair process of all general MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating) parts for Technical Services. Administers Cycle Count Program in accordance with audit requirements. Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of department and manages team member performance by:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and delegates work and assignments. Communicates performance expectations in an effort to ensure proper completion of tasks; provides feedback and/or coaching for performance improvement. Provides recognition. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation.
- Actively reinforces company safety guidelines and programs; reports non-compliance. Monitors team member productivity and work habit and addresses deficiencies as required. Leads work startup and stoppage and monitors breaks. Monitors compliance with wardrobe/grooming standards and other UO policies.
- Monitors inventory stock levels and researches open purchase orders as required. Requests expediting from Purchasing if necessary. Ensures management is informed of critical deficiencies.
- Ensures proper completion of documentation of cycle count program in accordance with established schedule and maintains audit compliance. Researches root cause and corrects errors in Maximo as required. Escalates patterns to department supervisor for resolution.
- Performs job duties as described in non-lead job description. Maintains and shares job knowledge, assists in developing Team Members. May assist with training of new team members.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Semi-routine; majority of work covered by established procedures; detailed understanding of work unit required. Requires decision making skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Two years computer experience in Windows environment and spreadsheet knowledge required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required;
- 1-3 years Supply Chain / Logistics experience preferred;
- Maximo proficiency in Inventory and Purchasing modules highly preferred.
- 1-3 years in a leadership role highly preferred;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
