JOB SUMMARY:
Supports the Universal Orlando Workers' Compensation team with administrative tasks. Greets and assists Team Members with basic requests and meeting with the appropriate member of the Workers' Compensation team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets team members and supports the intake process by gathering initial information from injured Team Members and answering questions regarding the Workers Compensation process.
- Inputs Employee Intake Forms into Intelex ensuring accuracy of information.
- Updates Workers’ Compensation data and generates regular reports to analyze trends and performance.
- Updates medical billing information promptly. Provides insurance billing information to hospitals and providers in a timely manner.
- Follows up with team members regarding recheck appointments on a daily basis. Documentation of information on Open Claims list.
- Provides information to all requests for records from Legal/HR.
- Processes all wage statements and requests for payroll records.
- Archives and digitizes files based on record retention schedule and employee status.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or Data Science/Analytics preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years of experience in an office environment with customer service focus;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
An individual in this job must maintain confidential information on a regular basis while displaying a high degree of tact. This job requires the individual to interact with internal and external clients on a regular basis and make sound decisions. This role does not have any direct reports.
