Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas year-round. Located at Area 15 is the heart of horror – we would love to have you haunting alongside us! With the nature of this experience comes a unique working environment. You will find yourself working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more. The working hours will be unique, typically spanning over late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the Food and Beverage (F&B) department at Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU) through scheduling Team Members via UKG, supporting changing staffing requirements, and reconciling and distributing daily tips in accordance with established UHU policies and procedures. Provides support to Food & Beverage Management related to scheduling and timesheets, partnership with Human Resources on pay discrepancies, maintaining UKG records and user support, and tip program administration. Acts as a resource for all scheduling and specific pay practices/policies in alignment with Nevada pay practices. Coordinates daily changes and labor shortages to ensure adequate staffing requirements for the daily operation and effectively communicates scheduling and staffing daily operational changes. Tracks and audits F&B time and attendance reports to ensure compliance of UHU policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes a weekly schedule for Food & Beverage Team Members using UKG scheduling database. Balances business need and Team Member availability to provide schedules that minimize overtime and report pay. Maintains and adjusts schedules per UHU policy and procedures as needed based on attendance levels, special events, call-ins, and other factors. Works with F&B Management to ensure Team Members are utilized in the proper roles in compliance with certifications. Assists in the compilation of department labor information for the company Flash report. Assists F&B Management with rotations and grid creation as needed.
  • Responds to questions posed by Management and Team Members relating to scheduling, specific pay practices/policies, attendance credits, and tipping discrepancies. Investigates and completes payroll adjustments and tip discrepancies received from Management to assure accuracy and need. Submits pay and tip adjustments for Management approval. Acts as first point of contact for all scheduling changes such as swaps, days off, vacation requests, callouts, special event coverage, etc.
  • Supports the UHU Tip Program by accurately recording and tracking Food & Beverage Team Member Tips on a daily basis to ensure all pay is completed on time. Partners with F&B Management on the research, resolution, and documentation of tipping discrepancies. Maintains and ensures confidentiality of UHU Tip Program and Team Member’s pay.
  • Ensures that established UHU and Nevada pay practices policies and procedures relating to scheduling, timecards, and tip outs are being followed and escalates issues as necessary. Assists with the daily maintenance and weekly review of Team Member time sheets. Maintains UKG and Tip Program reporting and compliance audits (i.e. daily variances, weekly timesheets, weekly schedules and tip variances).
  • Provides information and records relating to Team Member general information, account codes, position codes, skill codes, pay rates, account numbers, and tip out amounts. Ensures integrity of data through periodic review. Provides assistance to UKG scheduling software users on general use and troubleshooting. Communicates system issues and escalations to F&B Management.  
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required.

  • Strong attention to detail is key and experience with administrative support.
  • Working knowledge of timekeeping and/or payroll systems is a plus.

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Professional Food Managers certification and Nevada state certifications are required.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.  

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of related experience in scheduling, staffing, or administrative support is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
