JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee the daily operation and support of Physical Security systems. Works independently in a fast-paced environment, to resolve complex system issues involving a diverse range of software applications and hardware configurations for all Physical Security Systems. Responsible for managing small to medium size technical projects, to include gather business requirements, tracking the status of multiple projects and providing direction to both internal and external partners.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the daily operation and support of Physical Security systems and hardware. Diagnose and analyze hardware and software issues, ensuring prompt and precise responses and minimizing downtime for critical Physical Security Systems. Track systems issues and report root cause findings to leadership.
- Guide technical projects, overseeing them from start to finish by providing direction to both our internal partners and external vendors. Manage projects by scheduling work, entering necessary procurement requests, and monitoring work progress and ensure timely completion of all project objectives. Provide stakeholders and leadership team with regular work / project status updates.
- Track documentation, develops contract request with included schedule and budget details, submits and tracks permitting requests, receives services and products as well as facilitates payment by providing A/P with necessary documentation for timely payment of invoiced performance milestones or regularly scheduled fees.
- Gather, define, and document business requirements for implementation of system changes. evaluate, test, and give recommendations on new technology to ensure department needs are met.
- Perform weekly scheduled systems checks and produce statistical reports for all supported systems. Analyzes, compiles, updates, and maintains data reporting using Excel, SmartSheet, and Power BI.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
This role is best suited for individuals who are technically inclined and can work both independently and a part of a team. Requires strong analytic and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and handle large volume of work. Project work requires individuals to work non-traditional business hours, weekends and holidays to ensure flawless execution.
EDUCATION:
- Technical degree (completed or in progress) in information technology field of study preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in IT, Networking and/or Project Management is preferred.
- Experience in the physical security industry is preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- CompTia IFT+ certification and/or Microsoft Certification are preferred.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License Required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written.
- Must be able to work independently and identify / resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks.
- Ability to organize and direct workflow as needed during the day.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and effectively present information for one-on-one and small group situations.
