JOB SUMMARY:

The Analyst I, Research Fulfillment plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of research deliverables, supporting the Research Operations team by reviewing survey programming, data processing, and reports. They will also execute introductory research-related tasks as needed. This entry-level role provides hands-on exposure to a wide range of projects and full suite of research operations processes and tools, enabling the Associate to build robust foundational knowledge of the organization and research program support while developing the technical know-how required for future advancement.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Quality Assurance & Accuracy Checking
    • Conduct strict QA reviews of written and programmed surveys, syntax/data scripts, banners, and reports using established templates and checklists.
    • Verify writing mechanics, grammar, clarity, and logic across end-to-end research materials.
    • Flag and communicate errors, inconsistencies, or formatting issues before final delivery.
  • Report Population
    • Populate reports (in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) with accurate data, tables, and visualizations.
    • Cross-check populated decks against source data for accuracy.
    • Format and structure reports according to pre-defined templates.
  • Project Coordination & Team Support
    • Review proposed scope of work and actively participate in project kickoff meetings.
    • Work closely with team to ensure output aligns with research specifications and client needs.
    • Communicate effectively with the Projects Manager and other team members on task progress and surfacing issues.
    • Maintain documentation of updates or changes to projects.
    • Assist in monitoring quotas and fielding progress for survey deployments.
    • Perform other research support tasks as assigned.
  • Data Processing & Programming Maintenance
    • Ensure proper application of data transformations and variable cleaning as per team standards.
    • Make minor updates to existing banner syntax / data scripts to support data reporting needs.
    • Make minor updates to items and logic within existing survey programming to account for new additions, removals, or temporary ad hoc questions.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, market research, statistics, social sciences, survey research, or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a research, data processing, or quality assurance-related role.
  • Basic understanding of data review, research workflows, or quality control principles.
  • Prior experience in research operations, marketing, or analytics is a plus but not required.
  • Candidates with equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to review work in accordance with standardized procedures, templates, and checklists.
  • Ability to exercise tact and candor in written and verbal communications to team member peers and leadership.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn the mechanics of various survey, programming, and analysis tools including Qualtrics, DisplayR, SPSS, and Ascribe.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn general Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Commitment to upholding team values of accuracy, efficiency, reliability, seamlessness, service, and technical mastery.
