JOB SUMMARY:
Identify, formulate, test, and implement various pricing and product strategies to maximize the Admissions revenue. Formulate and apply advanced statistical approaches, stochastic process models, econometric methods, elasticity tests, and decision analysis analytical approaches in the design, testing, and implementation of revenue optimizing hypotheses for Admissions revenue. Support and guide Pricing Team on the implementation of test scenarios. Support upper management in terms of reporting and analysis.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- MEASUREMENT, ANALYSIS, AND IMPLEMENTATION
- Establish key performance tracking metrics and monitor ongoing performance of tests by tracking to sales data from Adobe Target and POS systems and working with the Optimization team.
- Slice/dice test results to analyze the statistical significance, confidence intervals, revenue lift, conversion, secondary KPIs, anomalies, and glean pockets of successes, identify new hypotheses, and restructure/redesign tests on an ongoing basis.
- Derive conclusions, identify the areas where successful results can be extrapolated & applied, and communicate the lessons learned on an ongoing basis.
- Integrate and implement the successful test scenarios into ongoing business operations by coordinating with the Global Product & Pricing team.
- TESTING
- Identity price- and product-driven revenue opportunities through data analysis by working with the Global Product and Pricing team.
- Formulate, coordinate, and implement AB tests to evaluate various hypotheses by working with the Global Product & Pricing, and Optimization teams.
- Formulate and apply advanced statistical approaches such as t-test, ANOVA, stochastic process models, econometric methods, elasticity tests, and decision analysis in the design, testing, and analysis of hypotheses for optimizing Admissions revenue. Support and guide the Global Pricing team in the development and implementation of strategies that will drive optimal pricing and promotions.
- REPORTING AND COMMUNICATION
- Design and develop business intelligence dashboards, reports and data visualizations to showcase the initial and ongoing revenue lift from the test and learn initiatives by working with IT and other teams.
- Build powerful PowerPoint presentations for upper management.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree is required. MS degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Management Science, Operations Research, or equivalent required.
- PhD preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Experience in SQL and Python required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work through complex problems.
- Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral formats.
- Strong interpersonal, technical and presentation skills required.
