Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas year-round. Located at Area 15 is the heart of horror – we would love to have you haunting alongside us! With the nature of this experience comes a unique working environment. You will find yourself working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more. The working hours will be unique, typically spanning over late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). JOB SUMMARY:
As a member of the Universal Horror Unleashed HR Team, you will be responsible for the administration, processing, and dissemination of information related to employment, benefits, payroll, talent and organizational development, Team Member experiences and employee relations. You will support the Team Members through identifying and resolving issues to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports org chart creation / maintenance / requisition creation. Completes Personnel Change Request (PCR), Organizational Change Request (OCR).
- Coordinates Talent Acquisition and Onboarding tasks including interview scheduling, offer letter preparation, background checks, fingerprinting, I-9, orientation scheduling, ID and nametag distribution. Maintains staffing function and all aspects of Internal Application process for within division efforts.
- First line support related to any HRBP/Employee Relation issues. Gathers information, evaluates, responds when appropriate and/or refers to HRBP for information and follow up as needed. Acts as a liaison with core HR partners and provides general information to Team Members on policy interpretation, EAP concerns, Benefit/Payroll/Records inquiries.
- Coordinate and maintain materials, reports, and communication in support of Talent Acquisition, Organization and Talent Development processes/programs (e.g., open requisitions, performance management, succession planning, TSAT, compliance training, etc).
- Coordinates various Team Member engagement and development activities to support the employer value proposition at Universal Horror Unleashed, including but not limited to recognition, milestone and perk & discount programs.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with theme park/hospitality industry and work environments.
- Able to represent the company in all interactions with professionalism and a high degree of integrity.
- High degree of confidentiality and tact to manage sensitive Human Resources and cultural situations.
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to support multiple priorities and flexibility to effectively handle evolving priorities.
- Initiative-taker, ability to work independently with little to no direction.
- Experience in a start-up environment is highly desirable, with the ability to wear multiple hats and drive change in a growing company.
- Strong follow through and follow up skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite and familiarity with MS SharePoint.
- SAP familiarity preferred.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of Human Resources Employee Relations or Generalist experience in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior theme park/hospitality industry experience preferred.
