JOB SUMMARY:
Supports management in leading daily activities of department and team members by performing the following duties.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides work direction to team members. Monitors compliance of current Company and department policies and procedures. Communicates performance, behavior standards, and expectations; provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation.
- Monitor equipment and supplies and initiates repair/replacement/re-order process. Monitors the progress of the process to assure timely completion. Completes administrative tasks relating to the process and other activities as assigned.
- Provides assistance to the Costume Specialist I’s and Costume Dressers as needed with issue, fitting, and dressing tasks.
- Ensure the costume work areas remain clean and organized.
- Gather weekly performer scheduling through UO computer system to facilitate costume preset process. Monitor and facilitate special events requests.
- Observe shows/character sets for costume appearance notes to maintain quality. Communicate and troubleshoot with Entertainment Supervisory team members as it relates to issue/notes that have arisen surrounding costumes.
- Organize and assist with training of new and current team members. Ensure trainer is identified and that training is being delivered per Standard Operating Procedure.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED, Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
EXPERIENCE:
- 0-1 Year: Ability to perform basic costume repairs and completion of 90 days of service with Universal Orlando required six months to one-year experience providing work direction.
- Previous theatrical experience preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
