JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining and application of basic level Prosthetic makeup. Responsibilities include but not limited too the knowledge of all materials and tools. Applying small sized prosthetics, such as wounds, Elf ears, blisters, cheeks, foreheads/ brows, bald caps, usage of airbrush and techniques. Measure, mix and apply two-part silicone such as Skin tite and 3rd degree duing prosthetic application. Able to apply and work with adhesive facial hair application such as eyebrows, beards and mustaches, removals, cleaning and restyling of hair appliances. Any other pieces that management deem appropriate to the skill level.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides maintenance and application to small forms of theatrical make-up and prosthetics with in the skill set.
  • Inspection of prosthetics, regular maintenance on pieces, touchups, and removals to ensure show quality and approved designed looks.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies and cleanliness of workstation and area. 
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 

  • Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required.
  • Graduate of certified makeup school is preferred. 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 2+ professional experience in Prosthetics fabrication including Lab/Studio work and field application; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Any props or costume fabrication experience helpful.
